An Advocacy Initiative for Reclaimimg Black Body Literacy, Pleasure & Radical Rest
At its core, the Noir Touch and Rest Advocacy Initiative is dedicated to nurturing rest, pleasure, and body literacy for African-American and Black diaspora communities. Through grassroots advocacy, curated reproductive wellness education, sensory experiences, and honest community conversation, I am advocating for the spaces we have always deserved. I am creating intentional spaces for us to congregate together—spaces where we simply do not have to keep our guard up. Here, we can finally slow down, reconnect with ourselves and one another, learn about our bodies without the dismissive tone of traditional systems, and finally exhale together.
Why Rest, Touch, Pleasure and Body Literacy Matter?
REST, because stepping away from the hustle is our birthright, not a reward for burnout.
PLEASURE, because when our bodies find rest and safety, we open ourselves up to experience pleasure fully across every aspect of our bodily systems—including the systems that bring us sexual pleasure.
TOUCH, because our bodies deserve to be held, anchored, and comforted without conditions
BODY LITERACY, because understanding our own anatomy is the first step to reclaiming our autonomy.
